Mr. R completed his service in the Army in September 2007.
After serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, he receives a limited monthly pension. Although his wife works 40 hours weekly earning $13 per hour, he is unemployed and they have four children. He reported having tried to start a business when he returned home, but that did not work out well and that created more financial problems.
Mr. R wanted therapy to "improve the way I treat my family members, particularly my wife. . .Me and my wife don't get along. . .I can feel my anger getting intense…it's not me."
He stated that he has never hurt her and would never do so. After six weeks of therapy, Mr. R reported that he has improved his family relationships.
Private Counseling for Public Service linked him with a psychologist. “I am a soldier and I need some help readjusting to life after Iraq. I am very grateful."
